wait, is this how it's supposed to work?
You'd think being unemployed would mean I could take people up on their last-minute ticket offers to afternoon baseball games. Sadly, not this time. On the bright side, I *am* going to the nightcap.

Wait-- there's supposed to be baseball tickets?

If you're ever in the mood, day-of Spinners seats (OK, it's SRO, but there's *always* a seat after the third inning) are cheap: IIRC, ~$5. Sometimes I think it's actually a better game, because you know the players aren't there for the money.
And you can't find a bad seat in that park for love or money.
